Privacy
Currently, Jade keeps a waitlist and measures how this site is used. Nothing is sold, and everything is deleted on request.
What Jade collects
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist. Used to invite you when your area opens, plus occasional updates.
- Your neighborhood, if you choose to share it. The field is optional and helps decide where Jade opens next.
- Your business name and location, if you sign up on the business page.
- Anything you email in yourself.
- One anonymous cookie, described below.
- Usage data. Pages visited and the link that brought you here. Used to improve the site.
Jade isn’t directed to children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect their information. If that happens, it’s deleted.
The cookie
On first visit, Jade’s server assigns your browser a random ID. It contains no personal information. It distinguishes returning visitors from new ones, and connects a signup to that visitor’s earlier visits. It auto-expires at 13 months and is set and readable only by Jade. Visitors in the EU and UK are asked before it’s set; the choice itself is remembered in a preference-only cookie, so the question isn’t asked twice.
Anyone can opt out here; the site functions identically without it.
Who processes the data
Two services process data on Jade’s behalf: Cloudflare (hosting and waitlist storage) and Resend (email delivery). Their contracts limit them to processing on Jade’s instructions. Signup forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to filter bots; it checks the browser, not the person, and Cloudflare states it isn’t used to profile visitors across sites.
Some pages embed video from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode; Google’s privacy policy applies to what the player loads.
Jade is based in the United States and its data is processed there.
What never happens
Individual data never leaves Jade. Not sold, not licensed, not shared with partners, and not released in “anonymized” form, since such records can often be re-identified. If Jade publishes findings from its data, it’s at group-level only, with no path back to any one person.
Per California’s privacy law: Jade does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. No list brokers, no data resellers, no ad networks.
When Jade runs external ads on other platforms, it will report to the platform that ran an ad when a click on that ad leads to a signup on Jade. The report is sent from Jade’s server and includes a one-way-hashed identifier so the platform can match the click to its own ad, and nothing else. Jade turns on the platform’s restricted-data-use setting so the report can’t be used to advertise to you elsewhere, and it adds no tracking to this website.
Deletion, and your other rights
Waitlist data is kept until your invitation is sent and acted on, or until you ask for deletion, whichever comes first. Usage records are kept 12 months.
To be removed, email a request to hello@jade.eco from the address you signed up with. The email and every detail tied to it are deleted from Jade’s live systems within 7 days. Copies in automatic backups expire within 30 days and are never restored except for disaster recovery. Jade keeps only what the law requires, such as a record that you asked not to be contacted.
California residents also have the right to know what Jade has collected about them, to correct it, and to not be treated differently for asking. Visitors from the EU and UK get the same rights, plus the right to object to any use of their data. Requests are answered within 45 days; if a request is unusually complex, the law allows one 45-day extension.

This policy covers the site as it exists today. If practices change, this page will be updated.
